EXCITING WEEK AT THE TENNESSEE LOTTERY!
Friday, April 21, 2017

2 of 16 lucky Play It Again! winners claim their prizes.

The Tennessee Lottery’s Nashville headquarters was full of tears, smiles and hugs during the past week from a seemingly endless stream of winners. A few of these were:

  • A Greeneville CASH 4 LIFE player became Tennessee’s first winner of $1,000 a week for life
  • 16 lucky players from throughout the state won a total of more than $3.1 million by entering non-winning tickets into the Lottery’s “Play It Again!” drawing, including a $1 million winner from Kingsport
  • A Powerball player in Gainesboro and one in Chattanooga won $150,000 each
  • A Franklin Powerball player won $50,000
  • A Cleveland player won $300,000 from the Jumbo Jumbo Bucks instant game
  • A “Giant Jumbo Bucks” player in LaVergne won $150,000
  • A Johnson City player won $100,000 playing the Mighty Jumbo Bucks instant game
  • A Tennessee Cash player in Crossville won $58,466
  • …and the list goes on!

“This is a life-changing experience,” said Richard Ramsey of Madisonville, who won $200,000 by entering a non-winning ticket into “Play It Again!” The program gives players a second chance to win through drawings for cash prizes held approximately every three months. Richard wasn’t sure yet what he would do with his prize, although a lunch celebration with family and friends was at the top of his list.

For Victor and Charlene Johnson of Memphis, a $200,000 win was icing on the cake of their upcoming 40th wedding anniversary. Fourteen other Play It Again! winners won prizes ranging from $1,000 to $1,000,000, for a total of more than $3.1 million.
