A Portland man says many of his friends didn’t believe him when he told them he’d won $75,000 playing the Tennessee Lottery’s Lady Jumbo Bucks instant game. And it’s no wonder: he won the prize on April Fool’s Day.
“I’ve won (a prize) before,” said Tony Rigsby. “But when I won this time, no one believed me!” Tony says he isn’t sure yet what he will do with the winnings. But as he left the Tennessee Education Lottery’s Nashville headquarters with a ceremonial big check in hand, he knew one thing—his friends would believe him now.
Tony purchased the lucky ticket at Portland Discount Tobacco, 110 West Knight St.
