Total Lottery Funding for Education Now Exceeds $3.5 Billion!

The Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation today announced results of its first quarter, which produced the highest Lottery for Education Proceeds of any first quarter since its inception in January 2004. The period from July 1, 2015, through September 30, 2015, saw a return of $84.6 million, a 10.8% increase over the same period last fiscal year. The first quarter also saw the highest first quarter total sales since inception, at $361.7 million, a 6.5% increase over the same period last fiscal year.
Total Lottery funding for education-related programs in Tennessee, including funds used for scholarships, grants, and after-school programs, now exceeds $3.5 billion.
