BEST FRIENDS FOREVER: BUDDIES GO 50/50 ON JUMBO BUCKS TICKET AND WIN $3,000,000

Lebanon, Tenn. – Two friends from Carthage, Wyatt Close and Brandon Thompson, were riding to work together Friday, October 1, when they pulled into the QuikTrip on Sparta Pike in Lebanon.

Thompson decided just that morning to split the cost of a couple tickets with Close. Thompson almost backed out but agreed to put in for the tickets, and he is glad he did.

The store didn’t have the game Close had his eye on, so Close bought two Jumbo Bucks Titanium instant tickets and took them back to the van.

The first was a non-winner, but the second. “I saw those black bold numbers and just started jumping,” Close said.

“I thought he was going to jump through the roof of the van,” Thompson recalled.

The friends have similar plans for what they each will do with their portion of the winnings: save, invest and build a home.
