$1 MILLION WINNER HAS A VERY LUCKY RIDE TO WORK

COVINGTON—A stop for gas led to a seven-figure win for a Covington man, who decided to purchase two Tennessee Lottery tickets while he was stopped at the store.

“I was just going to buy one, but for some reason I decided to buy two,” said Jeff Stewart, who brought his brother and wife to Nashville to claim the prize last week. Turns out that second Millionaire Jumbo Bucks instant ticket was worth a whopping $1 million.

“I still can’t believe it,” he said. The ticket was purchased at Murphy USA, 1631 Hwy. 51 S. in Covington.

And this wasn’t the only $1 million prize claimed during the week of June 12 – June 18. A TVA retiree from Ooltewah won a cool $1 million from the Powerball drawing on June 11, 2022. David Richie was fairly speechless when asked about this big win—and we can understand why. David purchased his lucky ticket at Publix, 5958 Snow Hill Rd. in Ooltewah

And topping off last week’s excitement was a Knoxville player who won a $400,000 Tennessee Cash jackpot from the June 13, 2022, drawing. James Tunno said he always plays the same numbers—a series of birthdays—for this in-state drawing-style game. That ticket was sold at Casey’s, 6900 Maynardville Pike, NE in Knoxville.

These players were just a few of the 373 players who won $1,000 or more during the week of June 12 – June 18, 2022. All told, Lottery players were paid $24,404,160 during that same week.
