3 JACKPOT POWERBALL WINNERS; $5,OOO WINNER IN TN QUINTUPLES PRIZE

NASHVILLE – Three players–one in Arizona, one in Pennsylvania, one in Nebraska–won the Powerball jackpot from Wednesday night’s drawing. In Tennessee, one player who purchased a ticket that matched numbers to win $5,000, will win $25,000 since he/she purchased the ticket with the Power Play option.

The Tennessee Lottery’s Lotto 5 drawing on Wednesday night produced 1,201 winners, including 29 who won $237 each and another 1,172 who won $9 each. Since there were no jackpot winners, $40,146 will rollover to Friday’s drawing.

Lotto 5 Drawings are held on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights at 10:34 p.m. CST and can be seen on the Lottery’s television network partners throughout the state. Powerball drawings are held on Wednesday and Saturday at 9:59 p.m. CST. The jackpot for Saturday’s drawing is estimated at $10 million.

The Tennessee Lottery began selling its first instant tickets on Jan. 20, 2004. As of Oct. 15, the Lottery had transferred more than $174 million to the Tennessee Lottery for Education account, as well as more than $2 million for after-school programs. All Lottery profits will go to pay for specific education programs in Tennessee, which initially include HOPE Scholarships.
