LOTTERY’S THIRD QUARTER PROCEEDS BRING TOTAL RAISED FOR EDUCATION TO MORE THAN $5.38 BILLION

NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation (TEL) today announced its FY2020 third quarter (January 1 – March 31, 2020) transfer of $102,146,000 to the Lottery for Education Account, bringing the total raised for education since January 20, 2004 to $5,384,575,000.

To date in FY2020, the TEL has generated more than $302.3 million for education in Tennessee and more than $16.4 million for after-school programs.

“During these difficult and challenging times, our mission remains the same: to serve Tennessee by generating proceeds for education,” TEL President and CEO Rebecca Hargrove said. “We remain focused on developing innovative products and services that support those initiatives.”
