MEGA JACKPOT RUN PRODUCES OVER 390,000 WINNING TICKETS IN TN, $7 MILLION FOR EDUCATION JACKPOT WINNERS IN CA, GA

For the Volunteer State, the incredible Mega Millions jackpot run that ended Tuesday night resulted in 390,667 winning tickets sold in the state and an estimated boost of $7 million for Lottery-funded scholarship and grant programs in Tennessee. Two tickets, sold in Georgia and California, matched all six numbers drawn to split the estimated jackpot of $648 million—the second largest in North American lottery history.

“It’s been exciting and fun….and the true winners in Tennessee are the students and families who will benefit from the proceeds generated by this jackpot cycle alone,” said Rebecca Hargrove, President and CEO of the Tennessee Education Lottery Corporation.
