POWERBALL JACKPOT NOW $700 MILLION FOR SATURDAY NIGHT’S DRAWING

NASHVILLE—Last night’s Powerball drawing produced an incredible 142,991 winning tickets in Tennessee, including a $1 million winner in Chattanooga, and a record $675 million jackpot that has now been increased to an astounding $700 million for Saturday night’s drawing.

Bustling sales amid growing jackpot fever have helped push the jackpot for the popular game to a new record for Powerball and the largest jackpot of any lottery game in U.S. history.

“Players around the country have joined the excitement for a chance to win such an incredible prize, but remember to play responsibly; it only takes one ticket to win,” said Rebecca Hargrove, President and CEO of the Tennessee Lottery.  Also remember to sign your ticket immediately after purchase. Tickets must be purchased no later than Saturday 8:59 p.m. CT/9:59 p.m. ET for Saturday’s record drawing.

Besides the jackpot, there are eight other prize levels that players can win with prizes ranging from $4 up to $2 million. With the TN Lottery Mobile app and in-store ticket checkers, players can easily check their tickets to see if they have won a prize.

Powerballis a popular drawing-style lottery game played in 44 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
