TN POWERBALL TICKETS PRODUCE 94,776 WINNERS; $213.2M Jackpot Ticket Purchased in Pennsylvania

Tennessee’s Powerball game produced 94,776 winners who purchased tickets from retailers in the state, including one $100,000 ticket purchased in Summertown. By selecting the Power Play option, 10,894 players multiplied their winnings by four. There was one winner in the state of Pennsylvania for Saturday night’s drawing of the $213.2 million grand prize.

10 players won $5,000 each. 287 players matched 4 numbers and won $100 while 317 matched 3 numbers and the Powerball number to win $100 each. 13,150 players matched 3 numbers and won $7 and 4,512 matched 2 numbers and the Powerball to win $7. 24,229 players matched 1 number and the Powerball to win $4. 41,376 players matched the Powerball and won $3.

The Powerball jackpot for the next drawing on Wednesday, May 12, is estimated at $10 million. Powerball drawings are held on Wednesdays and Saturdays at 9:59 p.m. CST (10:59 p.m. EST). As with all Tennessee Lottery games, profits from Powerball tickets sold in Tennessee remain in the state and go to fund education programs. Most immediately, the Lottery is charged with raising at least $88 million by July 1 in order to fund scholarships for an estimated 65,000 students expected to attend Tennessee colleges and universities in the fall.
