WEEKEND DRAWINGS CREATE $1 MILLION POWERBALL WINNER & TENNESSEE CASH JACKPOT WINNER Mega Millions Jackpot grows to $550 Million, 4th largest in U.S history

NASHVILLE – While excitement continues to build about the next Mega Millions drawing, the weekend brought great news to a player in Jackson, Tenn. who won $1 million in Saturday night’s Powerball drawing, making him or her the 129th Tennessee Lottery winner of $1 million or more. In addition, a player who purchased a Tennessee Cash ticket in Kodak in Sevier County matched all six numbers drawn for that game Friday night to win the jackpot of $360,000. No additional information is available about the winners until the prizes are claimed.

In the meantime, the Mega Millions jackpot continues to soar to unbelievable highs, now at $550 million for Tuesday night; the fourth largest in U.S. history and second largest ever for the game itself. The current record jackpot is $656 million, shared by players in Illinois, Kansas and Maryland on March 30, 2012.

With the incredible Mega Millions jackpot, new instant games including a series of Duck Dynasty® instant tickets and popular holiday games, and this week’s drawing of the popular Play It Again! program, it promises to be another exciting week at the Lottery.
